What Will I learn:

This qualification comprises the following units;

• Confirming the Occupational Method of Work in the Workplace

• Confirming Work Activities and Resources for an Occupational Work Area in the Workplace

• Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace

• Developing and Maintaining Good Occupational Working Relationships in the Workplace

• Preparing backgrounds for tiling in the workplace

• Producing complex ceramic, mosaic and stone surface finishes in the workplace

• Tiling wall and floor surfaces in the workplace

The learner must achieve a minimum of 2 units within this group

• Laying sand and cement screeds in the workplace

• Laying under tile heating systems and tiling surfaces in the workplace

• Producing internal and external sand and cement backgrounds in the workplace

• Providing drainage for tiled surfaces in the workplace

Course Description:

The NOCN_Cskills Awards Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Wall & Floor Tiling (Construction) qualification has been developed for achievement in a real workplace environment which means the learner must be employed or have access to practical to undertake this qualification. This qualification enables the learner, to recognise their skills, knowledge and understanding as well as demonstrating their competence in the workplace when carrying out the role of an advanced Tiler.

 

Who is this course aimed at?

Learners who have completed the level Three Wall and Floor Tiling qualification and have gained employment within the industry exposing them to the evidence required to gain this Advanced L3 NVQ qualification. Learners will gain the Advanced Skilled Worker GOLD CSCS card once they have completed this programme.

 

What will this Qualification Lead to?

On completion of the NOCN_Cskills Awards Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Wall & Floor Tiling qualification the learner will have obtained the skills, knowledge and understanding and demonstrated competence to progress on to a higher level programme such as Project and Construction Management.
