Beyond mastering traditional craft techniques, this course will quickly bring you up to pace with industry standards you will use every day in the workshop. Ensuring you operate safely, efficiently, and professionally on any construction site by covering crucial health and safety regulations alongside structural woodworking. We want to support you in building a versatile skill set that employers actively seek and securing long-term employment or career growth.

The Learner will also learn key practical skills and knowledge in:

  • Understanding essential health and safety regulations, hazard identification, safe working practices, and environmental considerations required when working on a construction site.

  • Developing practical skills to construct and install primary structural woodwork components, including floor joists, wall framing/studwork, roof structures, and window/door frames.

  • Mastering precision techniques for internal non-structural finishings, including fitting internal doors, installing moldings (skirting boards and architraves), and assembling service units or ironmongery.

  • And you will come out of it with a Blue CSCS card.
